another后接复数名词的用法

1. another后接名词时，通常应是单数。如：

They hope to avoid another war. 他们希望能避免另一场战争。

Would you care for another cake? 再来块蛋糕好吗？

Bring another dish of rice, please. 请再端一盘米饭来。

Ramsay lived for another decade. 拉姆齐又活了10年。

Another railway carriage has been hitched on. 又挂上了一节火车车厢。

2. 若其后跟有数词或few等，则也可以修饰复数名词。

(1) another + 数词 + 复数名词

Only another five miles left to go. 只需再走五英里就到了。

Where shall we be in another ten years? 再过十年我们会在哪儿?

The strike continued for another four weeks. 罢工又持续了四个星期。

The strike may last another six weeks. 罢工可能还要持续六个礼拜。

(2) another + few + 复数名词
